KICKS

I was asked to create a custom typeface for KICKS, the Swedish beauty giant with stores throughout Scandinavia. While developing this typeface, I took inspiration from something synonymous with beauty: lipstick. The typeface was inspired by the almost architectural way that lipstick can be used to enhance and transform a face. Lipstick is at once textured and smooth, and with this typeface, I wanted to communicate this duality. The typeface that I delivered is layered and luxurious, a multifaceted ode to one of the beauty industry's top-sellers. It has become an iconic extension of the brand, used in digital and print marketing campaigns across Scandinavia.
