Sitting at the foot of Mount Fuji, Proximar Seafood is Japan’s first large-scale Atlantic salmon fish farm. Proximar puts sustainability at the forefront and combines a dedication to quality with Norwegian agricultural expertise. As a new company, they needed a logo and brand identity that helped tell their story. I worked with the team in Norway to understand their brand ambitions in Japan and created a logo and brand identity that drew on the Japanese flag’s “hinomaru” or “circle of the sun”—the red circle on the white background—as well as the pink flesh of the salmon.
